Wasn’t he surprised!  Many thanks to Nancy Morrison and Millie McGovern for creating a delightful event down to the last detail. The Breakfast coffee cakes were outstanding and Chad had fun passing out the “It’s a Boy!” Chocolate Novelties. Nancy even made a beautiful video so Chad’s wife Nicole could be part of it too! Marcia Seward Marcantonio told us about Camp Nashoba,
The day camp is now in its 51st year.
Bob Seward had Polio as a child, and a summer at a camp changed his life.
Jean and Bob Seward started the camp on the shores of Fort Pond in Littleton in 1957. The camp is on over 100 acres. The campers are from 4-14. They have a Red Cross swimming program with two hours of swimming per day for every camper.
They have fishing, boating, sports, and crafts programs. Many of the staff have been there for years.
Marcia showed us a 10-minute video of this beautiful campus. It’s hard to believe this is only 20 miles from Boston! The Sewards also have a overnight camp in Maine near Sebago.

Marsha M. agreed to help create  such a prize.

Roger LeBlanc reported on the organization of our next project The Appleman Auto Show to be help Sunday September 21.  Steve Glines will create a web site.

President Marc reminded us that Loaves & Fishes will be having a food drive starting April 1 and that members should bring canned goods to our Friday meetings in April.

Our date with Habitat for Humanity is still unsettled but likely to be sometime in May.

Savas Danos was our speaker for the day. He informed us of new state regulations that mandate that each community use only 65 gallons per person per day. This includes watering lawns in the summer and under drought conditions the rule may be applied to private wells since we all draw from the same aquifer.

The club secretary cannot read his handwriting or he would be able to report who won the drawing. No black marbles were picked however so the pot grows.
